Play Tacticool The Pro Way

As a beginner to this game it can get very frustrating. Given that there are players who spend a lot on this game and have the best equipment, getting matched with these kinds of players becomes a nightmare and with no skill coupled with inferior gear you are sure to lose every time. I once lost 30 matches in a row and lost more than 2000 points, you won't have to go through the same if you read this guide carefully. I am going to teach you everything I know and as simple as I possibly can, this guide might get boring at some points so feel free to skip any part that you already know. 

This guide is divided into the following sections:
    • Settings- Graphics and fps, control, matchmaking region.
    • Community - Friends, squad, clan.
    • Currency- How to earn silver/gold currency and manage them wisely.
    • Loadouts- Best loadouts and why.
    • Tips and tricks.

 Settings

  • Graphics and fps- First of all you want to set graphics quality and fps according to your device capabilities to avoid lagging during matches. The game has an in-built fps monitor that you can avail of by going to setting, selecting developers and enabling debug info. I recommend sticking with the settings that gives the highest fps( what is frame per second? ).                                                                              
  • Control- I recommend turning on fixed control , this will help you get use to the controls much quicker. Click on sensitivity and reduce/increase the control's sensitivity as much as you like.                                                                                           
  • Matchmaking region- Select the server closest to you to avoid loosing connection to the server during matches, e.g If you live in UK you should select EU(Ireland).  See also( why am i lagging?).  

Community

  • Friends- When i was new to this game, after every match I would always send the Most Valuable Player a friend request then I would invite my friends ( all valuable players) to squad and play with them. They taught me all that I now know , to [WTF]Rassi , Azziat and [ICDP]Sh!zzo thank you very much for teaching me how to play this game. You can employ this method too , it could work for you too!
  • Squad- Invite your friend and form a squad by clicking on the sidebar, selecting friends, selecting squad, clicking on one of the empty plus buttons and choosing the friend to be invited.
  • Clans- Being part of a clan has a lot of benefits. You get more friends, more currency( both silver and gold! ) and you could get to participate in Inter and Intra clan tournaments too. Some of the most popular clans as of now are : WTF, ELG, SU, TRS, TS ,GROM/PROXX, AO, R:U, e.t.c. You have to reach a certain level to be able to join a clan though.

Currency


  • How to earn currency: In this game there are two types of currency: silver and gold coins. Silver can be used to buy/upgrade weapons and  purchase gift kits for common operators while gold can be used to purchase pro weapons ( weapons that slow down enemies by 15% and cannot be upgraded past level 7 ) , purchase gift kits for rare and epic operators, purchase upgrade cards for rare and epic operators and to change ones username. You can earn both silver and gold coins by completing missions( clan,club, general and daily missions). You get extra silver coins from daily login rewards,  watching ads and reedeeming promo codes ( settings>>developers>> select promo codes>> type in 'FB-TACTICOOL' and submit, repeat steps and type in 'D-TACTICOOL').
  • How to manage your coins: DO NOT UPGRADE WEAPONS LOWER THAN MKVI( LEVEL 6 WEAPONS) INSTEAD SAVE UP AND BUY THE NEXT WEAPON ON THE LIST!!!. 

Loadouts

How to choose your loadouts

  • Based on map: In maps like Cargo ship, having a loadout like this will give you an edge: Shotgun,landau emitter and mines. There are a lot of objects to throw around in Cargo map hence the landau emitter and there are lot of corners hence the mine and shotgun. With the mines your enemies wont see their death coming if you place them well, they might turn into a corner to hide and reload and KABOOM! , the logic behind the shotgun is that shotguns are deadly at close range so you can just hide in a corner( after checking for enemy mines )  and wait till the enemy team passes ( and oh they do), sneak up behind them and give them 2 accurate shots to the head and EASY KILL!.  And don't worry this is not cheating ( sneaking is described in the game description as a tactic ) it's called playing smart. With this method you can easily take down superior opponents.                                                                                                                            In maps like Old Depot, Area and Tlensk City using a long ranged weapon will probably be a better option to you might use this loadout : sniper rifle, RPG and taser. There are a lot of open spaces in these maps meaning your enemies have no hiding spaces so you can spot them from a distance ( remember the same is true for you as  well), there are lots of towers which is perfect for snipers and since you can see farther ahead your accuracy with the RPG will increase significantly.
  • Based on role: Say you were participating in a clan tournament, your team might want to assign different roles to each member of the team so here we go. If you are supporting i.e not in the heat of the battle or frontline then you might consider using long ranged weapons like assault riffles, sniper rifles or a machine gun and a long ranged special e.g RPG.  If you are your team's attackers i.e on the frontline, they you might consider a short ranged weapon e.g shotguns and sub- machine guns and active specials like Impact grenades and taser.
  • Max ability: Maximum ability? For 100% speed this is your loadout: Varg or similar operator, sub-machine gun, pistol,adrenaline,taser.                                   Do you prefer lethality? Then here you go: Joe or similar operator, shotgun, melee/pistol, adrenaline( you activate this to bridge the gap between you and your target quickly, remember what I said about shotguns earlier?), and a gas grenade. Do you want more health: Syndrome or like operators, sniper rifles( shoot enemies before they even come close to you, therefore more health), smoke and melee( run into the smoke when low on health. Feeling lazy and don't wanna press that reload button all the time: David or like operators, pistols( switch weapons when you are out of bullets on your main one), machine gun, adrenaline and grenade.

Quick tips and tricks

  • Always bring the money bag back to your base i.e the side of the map you respawn at except if the scores are not in your favor and you must launch a last minute desperate attack to recover points.
  • Avoid walking through grasses they are the perfect camouflage for mines.
  • When you need to recover the bag or a point go with your team, never alone but also never from the same side ( one mine can take the whole team out and it has happened before).
  • Never maintain a 100% attack or defence position. Lean to both sides a little.
  • Play with your brain( most important tip!). Players with better equipment have and will continue to lose to smarter but underpowered opponent, contrary to popular opinion, this game is not as pay to win as it loooks.
  • Want to buy an upgrade card for a particular operator? Go to gear >> select the operator>> buy more upgrade card? click yes>> you will be directed to shop>> buy the gift kit and you will receive upgrade cards for that particular operator.
  • Relax, it is just a game.
